Turkish CAA publishes new Continuing Airworthiness Regulation

A new regulation for continuing airworthiness (“SHY-CA”) has been published on 5.11.2022. SHY-CA establishes technical and administrative procedures of activities regarding installation of components, maintenance personnel licenses and institutions preserving maintenance services to the aircrafts which is registered or to be registered to the Turkish Civil Aircraft Registry.

 

SHY-CA, which will enter into force on 5.2.2022, has been prepared in accordance with the 1321/2014 numbered European Union Commission Regulation (https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/document-library/easy-access-rules/easy-access-rules-continuing-airworthiness-0) and merges four main regulations of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management in one document: Authorized Maintenance Organizations Regulation (SHY-145), Aircraft Maintenance Training Institutions Regulation (SHY-147), Continued Airworthiness and Maintenance Liability Regulation (SHY-M) and Aircraft Maintenance Personnel Licensing Regulation (SHY-66).
